Back to Business. Back to Accountability. Forward Together.

Why This Campaign

Leadership Rooted in Wayne County

Michael A. Evans is running to bring business discipline, transparency, fairness, community investment, and accountability to Wayne County government.

Michael believes county government should work for residents, homeowners, local contractors, families, and communities — not create unnecessary barriers for them.

Meet the Candidate

Meet Michael A. Evans

Michael A. Evans was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan. He attended Chadsey High School and graduated from Ferndale High School.

He served his country as a United States Army veteran, built an accomplished career as a respected business owner, and raised five successful adult children — experiences that shaped his belief that real leadership requires discipline, honesty, service, and accountability.

Now Michael is running for Wayne County Executive to bring those same values to county government: responsibility, transparency, fairness, and sound business practices that work for all residents.

Why I'm Running

Politics as usual ends here.

Wayne County residents deserve a government built on truth, fairness, transparency, fiscal responsibility, and accountability — not politics as usual.

Local Opportunity

Investing in Wayne County Means Investing in Our People

Local investment means more jobs, stronger neighborhoods, and greater opportunity for Wayne County residents.

Homeowner Protection

A Fairer Approach for Homeowners

When a homeowner faces foreclosure because of delinquent property taxes, the Evans administration would seek a process that recovers what the County is owed while giving the homeowner a fair opportunity to remain in their home.

  1. 01

    Protect the Home

When a homeowner faces foreclosure over delinquent property taxes, the goal is to keep the family in their home — not displace them.

  2. 02

    Establish a Fair Repayment Plan

After the County covers an eligible delinquent tax obligation, the campaign proposes exploring a penalty-free repayment structure over five years.

  3. 03

    Help the Homeowner Stay Successful

The focus is on homeowner success and stability, giving families a realistic path to remain in the homes and neighborhoods they love.

This is a campaign proposal, not current law. Policy details are subject to legal review, budget analysis, and approval through the appropriate governmental process.
